PARISH PLAN

Did you know that Parish Councils must be notified of all planning applications and we can make comments, observations or even recommendations on these - including those made to us by villagers.   We are however only one of a number of organisations/individuals that will be consulted regarding any planning application.

To enable this to happen the District Council send us a copy of the application, including plans which if you would like to view, and you cannot get to Lichfield,  you can do so via the Clerk of the Parish Council or at the Parish Council meeting where the plan will be discussed.  In exceptional circumstances (and these are due to the time that comments have to be returned to District Council, there is a delegated authority in place with a Cllr and the Clerk to make comments).

Details of current planning applications are listed below.

The final decision rests with Lichfield  District Council who are the tier of government who actually make the decisions regarding the approval or otherwise of any Planning Applications.  Their website contains details of all Planning Committee Agendas and Minutes and also has a list of all the decisions that have been made.

If you cannot find a planning application in the decision section, it does mean that no decision has been made – this could be for a number of reasons the most common ones being that the plans have been returned to the applicant for amendments, or the application has even withdrawn.

Planning matters for our parish council meeting 20th May, 2010 will be posted shortly
